Qualification Details:
In view of the exigencies related with the COVID-19 pandemic and in view Of ensuring adequate preparedness for Covid Care Centres in 169 coaches in 17 train rakes for management of COVID-19 by Medical Department of KUR division, it has been decided to engage 'Contract Medical Practitioners (CMP)' on temporary basis in Khurda Road Division. East Coast Railway from willing, eligible Doctors, for a period of 3 (three) months from the date of such engagement, which can be extended purely on administrative requirement and willingness of concerned CMP, or till the scheme is available, whichever is earlier. A Walk- in-interview will be conducted to adjudge the suitability of the willing doctors. The details of the scheme are given below:-
i) Educational Oualification/eligibility : The Candidate Should Be A Minimum Mbbs Pass Degree From An Institute Recognized By The Indian Medical Council And With Registration In Indian Medical Council, Or With A Valid Registration Certificate Of Any Of The State Medical Councils Of India After Completion Of One Year Of Compulsory, Rotatory Internship. No Other Certificates Will Be Accepted. Higher Qualification, If Any, Will Be Given Due Preference.
ii) Remuneration:
a. Monthly remuneration is Rs. 75,000/- HRA & Transport Allowance) for Full Time General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO).
b. For retired Railway Doctors, retired Government Medical Doctors of State Government and Central Government, the monthly remuneration, as decided by Railway Board, is subject to the condition that the pension plus contractual remuneration of the Retired Doctors should not exceed than the last pay drawn at the time of retirement. No Dearness and any other allowances which are admissible to regular Railway Senants shall be admissible.
c. In case a railway accommodation is provided to the CMP, an amount equivalent to license fees in normal rent of the accommodation so provided shall be deducted from the monthly fees admissible.
Age: (i) Not exceeding 53 years of age as on 01.05.2020. However, age relaxation is admissible for 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and 3 years for OBC category candidates. (ii) For retired Railway Doctor, retired Govemment Medical Doctors of State Governments and Central Government, age to be considered is 65 years as on 01.05.2020.
Terms and Conditions:
i) Selected candidates will be subjected to medical examination and only medically fit candidates will be engaged as CMP.
ii) The Contract Medical Practitioner who enters contract with Railways will not have any claim or right for his/her continuity or automatic extension of the term of contract.
iii) During the validity of the contract, the CMP will be at liberty to terminate the contract for betterment of his/her career or any other ground by giving 15 days prior notice to the Railways. The contract can also be terminated by the Railways at any time during the contract by giving 15 days notice without assigning any reasons whatsoever. The contract shall also be terminated by the Railways administration if the CMP is found to be mentally or physically incapacitated.
iv) Engagement as CMP will not confer any right for automatic regularization or absorption in railways.
v) The CMP may avail of free medical treatment for self only except operations categorized as 'special' in para 622(8) of IRMM 2000 and treatment normally available at super specialty centre from hisA1er respective zonal railway hospitals during the currency of contract. The detailed instructions with regard to the duties while in contract in Railways shall be given to CMP concerned in the event of selection along with the offer of engagement.
vi) Appearance in the interview/application for the post will not vest any right upon the candidate to be engaged as CMP & no reasons will be cited or communication shall be made with the candidate in the event of candidate not getting selected.
(viii) The administration of the ECoR/Khurda Road reserves absolute right to cancel this notification without assigning any reason(s).
(ix) No Railway privilege passes,'PTOs shall be admissible to Retired Railway Doctors engaged as CMP in his/her capacity of CMP. However, 'Duty passes', as per eligibility would be provided for outstation duties to the CMPs.
(x) The engagement is purely for managing COVID-19 for the patients to be admitted in the Covid Care Coaches set up by the railway. Empanelled candidates will be called for reporting for duties as and when Administration decides to employ them.

Eligible and willing candidates should submit scanned copies of the credentials, Application form in the prescribed format with self attested photocopies of certificates showing date of birth, educational qualification, community and work experience certificate(s), if any, may also be emailed to the email ID- srdmohkur@gmail.com upto 22nd May 2020. On verification of the same at this end, the suitable candidates will be notified through email for their reporting for duty in due course, at the time of which, if they accept the offer, they will be required to bring along all the original documents earlier submitted and two passport size photographs. Retired doctors should bring original P.P.O.(Pension Payment Order), Service Certificate & LPC along with attested photo copies of all. No application submitted after the cut-off date (22'Rd May, 2020) will be admitted.
