Qualification Details:
Applications are invited for following purely project based temporary positions under various projects at Himachal Regional Center of the Institute. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/ specialization with consistently good academic records and experience may send their CV in prescribed format with all supporting documents to the Centre Head, G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment
1. Post Name: Project Assistant (01): Rs. 24,000/- per month fixed
2. Qualification: First class Master Degree in Oceanography / Meteorology/Atm ospheric Science / Physics or equivalent Selected candidate will work in Modelling of extreme weather events in HPC facility at CSIR 4PI, Bangalore as and when required
3. Desired: Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in the area of weather and climate modelling, etc
4. Nature of duties/Project: NMHS Funded Project ‘Modelling and Forecasting of High Impact Weather Events in the Beas basin, and Designing a Proto-type Advance Warning System for Mitigating their Adverse Impacts’.
5. Age Limit: Relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.
6. Salary: Rs. 11,000/- fixed per month
7. Project Assistant (01): Graduate from recognized university
8. Project: NMHS Funded Project ‘National Development of Sustainable Rural Livelihood Options Utilizing Locally Available Bio-resources through Transformative Rural Technologies in the Indian Himalayan Regions of Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim’.
