Qualification Details:
Selection of Spices Research Trainees at Indian Cardamom Research Institute, Myladumpara, Idukki, Kerala [Exclusively for Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST) Candidates]
1. Posts: Research Trainees
2. No.of. Posts: Botany (Crop Botany/Technology Transfer Divistions) 4nos. Biotechnology 4nos. Chemisry (Agronomy/ Soil Science Division) 4nos. Botany/ Microbiology (Plant Pathology Division)
4nos. Zoology (Entomology Division) 1no.
3. Stipend ₹18,000 per month.
4. Qualification :
a. Transfer Technology Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with minimum 55% marks. Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field
b. Plant Pathology Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture(Plant Pathology)/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with minimum 55% marks. Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field
c. Crop Improvement Essential: M.Sc. Botany/ Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks. Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field
d. Biotechnology Essential: M.Sc. Biotechnology(Plant/ General) Desirable: Working knowledge in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques & Basics in Bioinformatics as evdenced by documents.
e. Entomology Essential: M.Sc. Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology with minimum 55% marks.
f. Agronomoy & Soil Science Essential: M.Sc. Chemistry with minimum 55% marks. Desirable: One year work experience in handling GC/ HPLC/ Soil Analytical works.

Selection Procedure :
Screening based on qualification followed by written test.
How to Apply :
Candidates appearing for the screening test should bring along all the necessary documents given below:
1. Passport size photograph
2. Original certificates for a) Identity proof(Voter card, Aadhar card etc.) b) Proof of Age c) Caste Certificate(SC) d) Proof of education and training e) Publications, if any.
3. One set of self-attested photocopies of the above. Those who have not yet received their final degree certificate need not appear in the test. The number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of selection. The Board reserves the right to shortlist applications for the second level test if required. Those who have undergone training as SET/ SRT at Spices Board earlier need not apply. Application Submission date 15th to 30th July 2020.
